How to perfect a Fuji Roll
Fuji roll, roll cake, or cream roll, or Swiss log, is a type of Viennese sponge cake filled with lychee smooth cream, citrus confit, and topped with an emotional layer of sencha tea namelaka cream. Despite the name “Swiss roll”, the cake is believed to have originated elsewhere in Central Europe, likely Austria, and Switzerland.
